Fixed Truth is an independent journalism publication covering West Virginia politics, policy, and public life. We are not affiliated with any political party, campaign, or organization. Our reporting is funded by readers and advertising — never by the subjects of our coverage.

We specialize in document-based accountability journalism: public records, financial disclosures, court filings, and the gap between what public figures say and what the record shows. We cover Appalachia because it is under-covered — and because the people who live here deserve the same quality of investigative reporting as any major metropolitan market.

Fixed Truth was founded by Terry L. Holliday, a journalist and writer based in Greenbrier County, West Virginia.

Every factual claim published on Fixed Truth is supported by documentary evidence, on-record statements, or named sources. We do not publish anonymous accusations.
